Xavi: "It's a final, the match is a toss-up"

Xavi talked about the upcoming return leg of the Champions League quarterfinals against Atlético de Madrid: "It's a final, the match is a toss-up to see who wins. It's hard for us to create opportunities against Atlético; it'll be complicated. We are obliged to win, and that's something that goes in our favour. We will play our hearts out. In front of us we will face a team to be destroyed. We will try to score first and then see how they react." Would losing at the Calderón be a failure? - "This game at the Calderón is more important and decisive than the one at the Bernabéu. We are going to try hard, but in football, nothing is guaranteed. We are Barça and have a thousand options. This is a key week in our fight to win titles." Diego Costa's presence is in the balance: "He is a fundamental player for his team. Let's see how he arrives and if he really can play or not". Atlético, tough rivals: "Atlético are hard for us; we have never been a goal up against them, which is one of the keys to see what they do. Whether it's Valdés or Pinto in goal, they put the pressure on very high up. We have to take control of the game, keep the ball and go on the attack. However, it's also true that they know very well how to deal with us." Read more: Xavi: "It's a final, the match is a toss-up" - MARCA.com (English version)
