Watch: Jose Mourinho runs length of the field after Demba Ba’s Champions League goal

Jose Mourinho is no stranger to the extravagant goal celebration, from sprinting to the corner flag to celebrate Porto’s dramatic Champions League triumph over Manchester United in 2004, to bolting out of the dugout and sliding to his knees while donning a suit in his Real Madrid days, to jumping into the stands to find his son this past October.
He was at it again Tuesday at Stamford Bridge, running the length of the sideline after Demba Ba’s goal that put the Blues in the Champions League semifinals in dramatic fashion. 
In the 87th minute, with Chelsea needing a goal that would equalize its series with Paris St. Germain on aggregate but put the club ahead via the away-goal tiebreaker, Ba bundled home a ball from close range, setting off raucous scenes in London. Chelsea players piled upon one another, while Mourinho jubilantly ran the length of the field to join in.
Mourinho claimed to reporters after the game that he wasn’t celebrating, but taking the opportunity to instruct players on how to close out the game. Via SI.com’s Jonathan Wilson, Mourinho said:

“It was not a celebration. It was to tell the players how we had to play the last 10 minutes. At that moment they wanted to celebrate, to think that the game was over. They forget that we had three or four minutes plus injury time to play. We couldn’t keep playing the way we were playing. I had to go there to tell Torres and Schurrle how we had to play.”
