The midfielder
has been out of action since limping off with an injury he suffered
while on international duty with England last month.
The news comes as a welcome boost for Arsene Wenger who is currently in the midst of an injury crisis.
Mesut
Ozil, Theo Walcott and About Diaby are all out for Arsenal, although
Wilshere is still a way off a return to first-team action.
The 22-year-old took to Twitter to share the news with his 1.17 million followers.
He tweeted: "First time in boots for 6 weeks!!! Great feeling! #WilshIsComingBack."
Wilshere's
return to training is likely to bring a smile to Roy Hodgson's face
though he faces a race against time to be fit for the World Cup.
